I'm not that girl!

what exactly does being a photographer mean? What side of the camera do you stand on? How many photographers do you know that stand on the side of their camera that gets hit by the flash???

I am not the girl in my photos! I stand behind the camera and push the button! Why is everyone so confused by this??
